OUR SERVICES

Welcome to
Seahawk Boat Works

My name is Troy Stringer
AKA: "The Boat Doctor"

As the owner of Seahawk Boat Works, I have worked on boats since I was 18 years old, in boatyards from Alaska to Seattle. When I came to beautiful Port Townsend, I was trained by West Marine's expert management and knowledgeable people. My skills and training earned me a position on the "Bums" Boatyard Crew at Bottoms-Up Marine Services.

Building on the knowledge they taught me and what I've learned over the years in the industry; I launched Seahawk Boat Works, delivering quality craftsmanship since 2018.

OUR LOCATION

Our crew provides services on vessels "on the hard" (dry-docked) in the Boat Haven boat yard of the Port of Port Townsend, Washington.

TOPSIDE, HULLSIDE, & BOTTOM PAINT

A fresh coat of marine or boat paint can give your boat a much-needed makeover before you hit the water. A boat's hull can be painted to protect it from everything from harmful UV rays to marine animals trying to build a home on it.

THRU HULL & ZINC REPLACEMENT

These sacrificial anodes can safeguard propellers, shafts, rudders, struts, and other components. This is why we emphasize the need of monitoring the percentage of "life" remaining in your present zincs and recommending a maintenance regimen to prevent damage to your boat.

BUFFING & WAXING

Cleaning and waxing a boat on a regular basis is important maintenance. It protects the gelcoat, prevents oxidation, and increases the resale value of the boat. The procedure isn't difficult, but it does necessitate following the correct stages and using the appropriate products.
